It's Brouwer Hour!: About Me

Hi! My name is Theresa Brouwer and I am so excited to be part of the teaching world! More importantly, I am THRILLED to be part of your life, if only for a moment! It’s going to be a fun year full of many learning opportunities and new adventures. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us.

I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. I moved around quite a bit, but ended up in Ohio again for high school and college, where I attended The Ohio State University…GO BUCKEYES! I majored in Elementary Education and couldn’t wait to graduate and start teaching.

My career began in a Kindergarten learning center for 5 years. Then I ventured to public schools in 2012 and I have been teaching Kindergarten ever since then. I absolutely love it because I know just where my students are coming from and exactly where they need to go! Having experience in grades before and after Kindergarten always helps me to challenge my students to reach for the stars!

I am so excited to be your “Coach” and for you to be part of this wonderful, all-star team we have lined up. This is going to be a GOLD MEDAL year!
